A Rescue Pups Very First Winter Wonderland

Winter is FINALLY here!! I know, most of you are over the cold already, but I cannot contain my excitement! I just LOVE a good snowstorm! Comfy clothes, a roaring fire, hot chocolate and something yummy is always simmering on the stovetop. Although, I would much rather it occur during the workweek!

Now, if you’re anything like me, you worry about your tiny fur-babies staying warm in the snow. Any one who knows me, or follows me on Instagram, knows that my fur-babies are my whole world! Kingston has been with me since 2008 and my husband and I rescued Matilda in April of 2016.

To say that she completes our fur-baby family is an understatement! While it was extremely tough to get her acclimated to our home and to trust us, I wouldn’t trade her in for anything! This chick is so funny!! She goes from 0 to 60 in a second! From sleeping soundly one minute to biting her brothers legs and bouncing around the house the next. There is no one quite like her!

Naturally, I was a little bit nervous to see what she was going to do out in the snow over the weekend. So, of course I had to make sure that she was dressed properly for the weather!! I bought both pups these adorable vests from Amazon.

They’re so great and I can’t believe I hadn’t found them sooner. They zip up the back and have hooks for the leash so you don’t have to leash them by the collar. I love that because I can’t stand to see them pulling themselves by their necks. They come in 5 different colors/designs and multiple sizes.

I’m sure the pups would have had just as much fun outside without their warm, new vests but it made me feel better! And as per usual, Matilda plopped her butt down in front of the pellet stove warming her little paws for the rest of the day, and Kingston, right where he always is, in my lap! I hope you all enjoyed your snowy weekend!
